The Little Rocket Co is launching a time capsule named the Kronos-1 into space holding the memoires of men, women and children.

Three easy steps using the ultimate time capsule:
Step 1. Upload your memories to a memory card.
Step 2. Keep a copy here on earth for your family to discover.
Step 3. Send a copy into space on the Kronos-1 time capsule.

How it works:

The Kronos-1 will be incorporated into the future launch of a commercial space flight, integrated and deployed at a designated altitude between 800 and 1200 kilometres.

At this height the Kronos-1 will orbit the earth  and will be guided by the gravitational forces met on its journey.

Tracking will be incorporated on-board the Kronos-1 to allow its journey to be documented for its eventual retrieval.

The Kronos-1 will become a modern day "message in a bottle" waiting to be discovered and its contents studied for its immense historical significance of modern life in the early 21st century.

How Will The Time Capsule Get Into Space?
The Kronos-1 Time Capsule will be incorporated into the future launch of a commercial space flight, integrated and deployed at a designated altitude of between 800 and 1200 kms.

Can I View The Launch Taking Place?
Yes, on Launch Day there will be a live webcam link streamed to our website and a downloadable video after launch.

When Will The Launch Take Place?
The launch is scheduled to take place in 2012. Weather or technical issues may change the launch date, therefore we encourage you to check our website for updates.

Will I Be Notified Of The Exact Launch Time & Date?
The launch date will be published here http://thelittlerocketcompany..com/  We will also email you 7 days before launch as a reminder.

Will The Kronos-1 Re-Enter The Earths Atmosphere?
The Kronso-1 will not re-enter the atmosphere for at least two hundred years due to the height at which it will be placed into space.

At What Height Will The Kronos-1 Be Placed?
The Kronos-1 Time Capsule will be placed into space at a height of between 800 and 1200 kilometres above the Earth.

How Long Will The Kronos-1 Last In Space?
It is one of the most exciting and interesting parts of the journey. The Time Capsule will not be guided from any earth control centre. It will be at the will of the solar winds and the gravitational forces met on its journey. It is similar to placing a message in a bottle and throwing it into the ocean.

When Should My Memory Card Be Returned?
You must return your memory card at least 3 months before the proposed launch date. If you have provided your email address you will be sent a reminder 4 months before launch date.

How Will I Know My Memory Card Is On The Launch?
The memory cards are individually numbered and will be placed inside the Kronos-1 Time Capsule in the presence of our project manager and in the confines of a clean room facility. The Time Capsule will then be sealed before being placed into the launch vehicle and this will be independently verified by the engineers.
